Alumni Benefits
Library Card
SOAS alumni are entitled to free reference and discounted borrowing membership of the SOAS Library where they can enjoy one of the most extensive collections of academic works on Asia, Africa and the Middle East in the world.
Reference membership is free for alumni and borrowing membership is available at a 70% discounted rate of £60 per year.
To order an alumni reference or alumni borrowing library card please apply here, by submitting all the information required and email a photo to libenquiry@soas.ac.uk. An online payment will be required for borrowing cards. A few days after you have submitted the application form, the Library will be in touch, to let you know when your card is ready to be collected at the Library information desk.
Access to Electronic Journal Databases
SOAS is proud to offer JSTOR and Project Muse access to alumni, providing free access to hundreds of academic journals. Alumni have the same access as students and staff, allowing them to view articles online and download or print out PDF files. Make sure you are signed up to SOAS World Website, then click this link to access the e-journals.
SOAS Connect
SOAS Connect is a free service designed for alumni to give and receive guidance in their chosen careers. You can also mentor current SOAS students if you wish. This could include anything from exchanging a few emails or checking a CV, to arranging a video call or meeting face to face. With SOAS Connect alumni can also reconnect with their old university friends.
Careers
SOAS alumni have access to the careers centre where they can receive one-to-one careers advice and guidance on how to write CVs and cover letters, and prepare for interviews. To get in touch with the Careers Team please email careers@soas.ac.uk, or call +44 (0)20 7898 4115.

SOAS Alumni Dubai Group
We are pleased to announce the formation of the new SOAS Alumni Dubai Group, whose aim is to plan alumni events and promote the SOAS alumni network across the wider Arabian Gulf region in the global hub of Dubai, currently home to over 100 alumni from across the world.
The newly formed committee is looking forward to planning events throughout the year and beyond.
